What Is Ethanol?

Ethanol is a high‑purity, 200‑proof grain alcohol refined for use as motor fuel. At Ringneck Energy, our ethanol facility, also known as a biorefinery, extracts ethanol from corn and blends it with gasoline to create cleaner‑burning fuel. We add a small amount of denaturant at the plant to render it non‑potable, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The Standard Dry‑Mill Process

Ringneck Energy’s ethanol production relies on the industry‑standard dry‑mill process. This efficient method converts corn into fuel‑grade ethanol, distillers grains, and corn oil, all essential co‑products that support livestock feed markets and industrial applications.
